How the record works
Scored the same way every time
The point of a track record is that the rules never change mid-season to flatter the results. These are the rules, in full.
Level stakes
Every tip is scored at 1 unit — the same stake on every line. The record measures the calls themselves, not stake-sizing.
How a tip scores
Win: (decimal odds − 1) units profit. Loss: −1 unit. Void: stake returned, 0 units. ROI = net profit ÷ total staked, shown as a percentage. Voided tips are excluded from the stake pool, so a void doesn't dilute the return.
Every published tip counts
Tips the articles themselves flagged as not recommended (Messi over 4.5, Bouanga over 4.5, the Isak narrative pick) are still in the ledger and still in this record. Excluding them after the fact would be cherry-picking.
Re-verified prices
Prices move between first publish and kickoff. 16 of 52 priced tips changed line and/or price between first publish (14 Aug) and re-verify (15 Aug); this record uses the re-verified lines, and every movement is logged in the ledger.
Pending rows
3 Newcastle United v Liverpool tips await odds: the corners and cards match markets are not posted by the data source (re-checked 21–22 Aug, closer to kickoff) and Salah's goal-involvement price has no posting — form-based only. Isak's anytime scorer is priced at 2.20 (captured 17 Aug; re-verify on publish day). No row is scored until a market is officially settled.
Probability, not promises
Every tip is a probability call. Variance means even the best-researched tips lose in runs, so a short record proves little — and a long one proves only what it is: a record. Never bet more than you can afford to lose.
Statuses are set in the tip ledger by a scorer after each round's markets are settled; this page recomputes W/L/void and ROI at the next build. No runtime data calls — the page is generated from the ledger at build time.
